Josh is a student of The Voice Mechanic and a music industry studies major (MIS) at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He studied under Evren Goknar (mastering engineer, former Capitol Records) and Arthur Winer, where he gained invaluable expertise in recording and mixing. After recording his first song “Gold Painted Roses” by his band Helens Bay with Sean Lee engineering, he wanted to learn some of Sean’s secrets. Under Sean he refined his skills and learned some of his cutting edge recording techniques. He is an expert in digital and analog recording, using outboard gear and various DAWS including Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton, and FL Studio.
